  • 20 medium nopales matches in thick strips.
  • 5 carrots slices into thick slices.
  • Some branches of fragrant herbs.
  • Some bay leaves.
  • 1 large onion split in feathers.
  • 3 dried guajillo chiles cut and deveined.
  • 3 garlic cloves finely chopped.
  • 1 cup of water.
  • 1 cup of white vinegar.
  • 1 tablespoon of salt.
  • 8 cloves.
  • 1/2 tablespoon of cumin.
  • 10 black peppers.
  • Oil.

Preparation

  • We put a deep pot in the fire.
  • We add oil and let it heat.
  • We add the onion.
  • Let sauté for 5 minutes.
  • We add the garlic.
  • Let saute for 3 minutes.
  • We add the guajillo chile.
  • We add the carrot.
  • Let saute for 3 minutes.
  • We add the nopales.
  • We cover the pot.
  • We left in the fire for 5 minutes.
  • We add the cloves.
  • We add the peppers.
  • We add the cumin.
  • We add salt to taste.
  • We add the water.
  • We add the vinegar.
  • We add the herbs of smell.
  • We add the bay leaves.
